Industry Leaders Earn Top Awards at 2014 FPTA Conference

(Tallahassee, Fla.)  For the second year in a row, BowStern Marketing Communications’ transportation clients rode home with top honors at the Florida Public Transportation Association (FPTA) Marketing Awards Competition. The competition is open to all FPTA members and is judged by a panel of marketing professionals based on innovation, production quality and overall effectiveness.

Tallahassee’s own StarMetro won the top award in the signage category for the system’s Braille placards, and another first place award for having the best sustaining campaign in the state with this year’s Stuff the Bus initiative. Okaloosa County Transit’s Art on the Move social media campaign won first place in the online communications category.

Other awards from the night include:

  • StarMetro: Second Place in Exterior Graphics for the Purple Heart Veterans Bus Wrap
  • StarMetro: Third Place in Special Events for Planning for Tomorrow
  • Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT): Second Place in Potpourri for ECATharmony Campaign Paid Media
