BowStern Shares Digital Marketing Knowledge

Two staff members recently offered tips and tricks for social media marketing

(Tallahassee, Fla.)  Representatives from BowStern Marketing Communications, a fully-integrated marketing firm headquartered in Tallahassee, recently presented on the power of social media marketing at separate events. Tom Derzypolski, President and founder, spoke at the Manufactured Housing Institute’s (MHI) Annual Meeting, and Chris Lueking, Director of Digital Marketing, spoke to students at Oklahoma University via teleconference.

“Online marketing is changing,” said Derzypolski. “The ability of companies to stretch their advertising dollars by utilizing social media ads has made a significant impact in the ways they reach their consumers. Targeting prospective leads is now done with precision, and this means that companies need to create a real presence on social media.”

Speaking to members of MHI, Derzypolski focused on ways to amplify brands through engaging organic content, community-building and paid advertisements. These three tactics not only improve brand visibility but can also improve a company’s credibility and perception, thereby generating sales.

“So many times, companies focus solely on paid advertisements on social platforms,” said Lueking. “But establishing a community where the company is seen as engaged and interested in its clients is of equal importance. Without a visible commitment to the consumer and community, companies struggle to set themselves apart from their competitors.”

A 2009 graduate of OU, Lueking was asked to present to students currently attending the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communications. He focused on the importance of analyzing both organic and paid content and on reporting findings to clients.
